We're looking for a dedicated Retail Pharmacist to provide coverage for a maternity leave. This is a great opportunity for someone looking for a short-term assignment with a flexible schedule in Lufkin, Texas!
Assignment Details:
- Monday-Friday with flexible scheduling for daytime shifts!
- 1st shift: 8:30 AM - 4:30 PM or... 8:30 AM - 5:00 PM
- 2nd shift: 9:00 AM - 6:00 PM
- Verify prescriptions and ensure medications are dispensed accurately
- Counsel patients and answer medication-related questions
- Provide information on drug interactions, side effects, dosage, and storage
- Follow HIPAA and all applicable pharmacy regulations
- Maintain quality assurance and controlled-substance procedures
- Answer pharmacist-related phone calls and prescription messages
- Help resolve customer questions and concerns
- Work closely with the pharmacy team to provide great patient care
- 1+ year of recent retail pharmacy experience
- Clear and active Texas Pharmacist License
- Strong communication + customer service skills
