We're looking for a Retail Pharmacist to provide PRN coverage. This is a flexible opportunity for a pharmacist looking to pick up occasional shifts and maintain a great work/life balance located in Lufkin, Texas and only 15 minutes from the beautiful Angelina National Forest & Angelina Lake!
Assignment Details:
- PRN / Per Diem
- Store hours: 9:00 AM - 6:00 PM
- Flexible shift options: 8:30 AM - 5:30 PM or 9:00 AM - 6:00 PM
- Shorter shifts may also be accommodated if needed
- Verify prescriptions and ensure medications are dispensed accurately
- Counsel patients and answer medication-related questions
- Provide information on drug interactions, side effects, dosage, and storage
- Follow HIPAA and pharmacy regulations
- Maintain quality assurance and controlled-substance procedures
- Answer pharmacist-related phone calls and prescription messages
- Help resolve customer questions and concerns
- No vaccinations
- No MTM services needed
- 1+ year of recent Pharmacist experience
- Clear and active Texas Pharmacist License
- Strong communication and customer service skills
