Retail Installation & Merchandising Specialist
About the Role
2020 Companies is hiring dependable, hands-on professionals to support retail installation and merchandising projects for well-known consumer and technology brands, including Dell, Intel, Dyson, Google, and HP.
This field-based position is ideal for someone who enjoys working independently, visiting different retail locations, and completing a variety of hands-on projects. You’ll install and update displays, troubleshoot equipment, follow project instructions, and document your work using a smartphone.
Job Details
Pay: $16.50 per hour
Schedule: Primarily Monday Friday, with occasional weekend, holiday, early morning, or evening work
Hours: Flexible assignments, generally scheduled between 7:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m.; hours vary based on project availability
Travel: Up to 90 miles from your home for assignments
Availability: At least 20 hours of availability within a rolling 30-day period
Transportation: Reliable vehicle, valid driver’s license, and current auto insurance required
Screening: Background, motor vehicle record, and drug screening may be required in accordance with applicable laws
What You’ll Do
Set up, install, and maintain retail displays, fixtures, shelving, and endcaps
Perform store resets, remodels, build-outs, and display updates
Follow planograms, schematics, and project-specific instructions
Install and service TVs, kiosks, interactive displays, and related equipment
Perform software updates and troubleshoot basic equipment issues
Replace graphics, pricing materials, memory cards, and other promotional materials
Submit photos, surveys, forms, and other required project documentation
Keep work areas safe, clean, and organized
Communicate with field management regarding assignments and project status
Record work hours and project activity accurately
Complete required training and certifications
Work independently while collaborating with field teams, retailers, and clients
What You’ll Need
Must be at least 18 years old and authorized to work in the U.S.
Valid driver’s license, insurance, and dependable transportation
Ability to travel up to 90 miles for assignments
Ability to climb a 10-foot ladder and lift or carry up to 60 lbs.
Ability to bend, kneel, crouch, reach, walk, and perform repetitive physical tasks
Comfortable working with basic hand tools and technology
Android or Apple smartphone with an active data plan
Ability to use mobile apps, follow digital instructions, and submit photos
Good communication, organization, and problem-solving skills
Retail, merchandising, installation, or construction experience is helpful but not required
High school diploma or equivalent typically required
