As a Restore System Administrator, you help ensure today is secure and tomorrow is smarter. Our work depends on a Systems Administrator Advisor joining our team.Key ResponsibilitiesRestore files, user profiles, and mailboxes using backup applications such as NetBackup, Avamar, and Commvault.Work in a Data Center environment to handle tape movement and management to support data restores.Develop, manage, and test backup and recovery procedures to ensure data integrity and availability.Develop and maintain disaster recovery plans for critical systems and services.Participate in disaster recovery drills and business continuity planning.Assist customers with file management, profile standards, and email organization.Apply knowledge of profile and permission structures to support user access and security.Manage ticket resolution in alignment with SLAs, ensuring timely and effective issue handling.Maintain detailed documentation of system configurations, procedures, and changes.Create reports on system performance, security incidents, and other key metrics.Coordinate with other IT teams to ensure seamless delivery of IT services.Provide recommendations for system improvements based on analysis and industry best practices.Ability to work Tuesday through Saturday, 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM.What You'll Need to SucceedEducation: Technical training, relevant certification(s), or degree.Experience: 5+ years of related IT/system administration experience.Technical & Professional Skills: Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills. Quick learner with high attention to detail and strong organizational skills. Ability to work effectively and independently.
Strong verbal and written communication skills for customer interaction and documentation. Solid technical support skills for complex hardware, software, and system issues.Clearance & Certifications: Active TS/SCI with Polygraph. Must be 8570 compliant with a Security+ certification.Other Requirements: U.S. citizenship required.
Work shift: Tuesday–Saturday, 9:00 AM–5:00 PM. Location: Annapolis Junction, MD.The likely salary range for this position is $107,744 - $138,000. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
