Service Lead / Supervisor — Abacá (San Francisco)

We're looking for a Service Lead/Supervisor to join our front-of-house team to lead brunch and dinner service in a fast-paced, Michelin-caliber environment. This is a hands-on, floor-driven role focused on service flow, team support, and consistent execution.
About the role
This is a hands-on floor role — you'll work service like the rest of the team (tables, sections, bar support) while also taking the lead on pre-shift and being the go-to person on the floor.
What you'll do
- Run pre-shift briefings and set the tone for service
- Provide open-hand service — seat guests, run food and drinks, work the floor like the rest of the team
- Support servers and bussers throughout service
- Handle guest issues with care
- Communicate with kitchen and management to keep service smooth
What we're looking for
- Prior experience as a server, bartender, or shift lead in a full-service restaurant
- Comfortable leading by example on a busy floor
- Strong communication and hospitality instincts
- Familiarity with POS systems (we use Agilysys)
- Availability for (day/nights/weekends/etc.)
Compensation
- Starting at $19.61/hour, increasing to $23/hour after 2 months + tips
