Position Summary

As a Restaurant Manager, you are the operational leader of your location—responsible for team performance, throughput, food quality, guest experience, labor, and overall presentation. You ensure efficient, consistent operations that align with brand standards, while fostering a strong team culture and developing future leaders.


ROLE DURING SERVICE


  • Lead pre-shift meetings and ensure the team is prepped, aligned, and motivated.
  • Actively manage the flow of service and guest experience.
  • Make real-time decisions to optimize throughput (flex staff as needed)
  • Monitor line pacing, timing expectations,  order times, and adjust staffing as needed
  • Ensure food is consistently prepared and presented to brand standards.
  • Enforce cleanliness, organization, and DOH compliance during all service hours.
  • Jump in where needed (bagging, build line, finish line, etc), and model always hustle standard

ADMINISTRATIVE & OPERATIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES 


  • Schedule team members based on forecasted sales while maintaining labor targets
  • Conduct regular inventory counts and manage ordering to avoid waste and stockouts
  • Review and analyze key metrics (labor %, COGS, throughput, order times, and guest feedback)
  • Uphold brand protocols and systems, ensuring alignment with other locations
  • Interview, hire, onboard, and train new team members
  • Deliver coaching and progressive discipline where needed

Required & Preferred Qualifications

  • 1+ years of restaurant management experience (quick-service, fast-casual, or full-service)
  • Strong understanding of restaurant operations, including staffing, inventory, and customer service
  • Leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a team
  • Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities in a fast-paced environment
  • Experience using restaurant technology systems (POS, scheduling software, inventory tracking)
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends, nights, and holidays
  • Must have NYC Food Protection Certificate and NYC Food Handlers Certificate (Required)
  • Strong English communication skills (verbal & written)
