Pharmacist 1 Contractor Onsite Position
Shift timings: 16:00-02:30 Monday to Friday (5 Days/ 8 Hours)
Per Week: 40 Hours.
This is a 7on, 7 off shift from (with last 2 days of each rotation going 0330 instead of 0230 to get to 72 hrs/full time status). Rotation starts on Wednesday at 1600 and final shift is the following Tuesday at 1600. That will be followed by 7 days off then rotation starts over.
Responsibilities
- Review and assess medication orders to identify, prevent and resolve potential and actual drug related problems.
- Recommend formulary alternatives when appropriate.
- Compound and dispense medications for accurate delivery to patients.
- Provide drug information and education to medical staff and patients.
- Communicate with physicians and other clinicians as necessary to facilitate care.
- Oversee technical personnel who assist in the preparation, maintenance, and dispensing of medications and supplies.
- Assist with academic functions such as serving as a preceptor for pharmacy students.
- May float to provide coverage of pharmacy needs.
- Provide patient counseling efficiently and effectively when required.
