Respiratory Therapy Manager
FULL TIME, 40 hours, Monday through Friday
48-55 (USD)
$5000 SIGN ON BONUS

Primary Responsibilities

• Under the direction of the Director of Nursing, the Respiratory Manager holds 24‑hour authority, responsibility and accountability for Respiratory Care on the patient care units.
• Coordinates interdepartmental services and provides clinical supervision of staff respiratory care practitioners, students and supervisors.
• Develops and oversees the departmental and respiratory program policies, procedures and standards, ensuring compliance with JCAHO, CARF, DPH and other organizations.
• Actively participates in the development of specialty programs related to pulmonary care and conducts regularly scheduled staff meetings.
• Participates in inter‑disciplinary meetings.
• Participates in the retention, recruitment and hiring process in collaboration with the Director of Nursing and Clinical Services.

Prerequisites

• Graduate of an NBRC‑approved Respiratory Therapy program.
• Bachelor’s Degree required.
• Licensed as a Respiratory Care Practitioner in the State of Massachusetts.
• CRTT (registry eligible); RRT, RCPT preferred.
• Minimum of three years supervisory experience.
• Previous experience as an adult educator with emphasis on public speaking.
• Previous geriatric and rehabilitation experience.
• Knowledge of growth and development across the life span.
