We offer generous benefits, including retirement, paid time off, paid parental leave, health insurance, dental, and vision benefits, life insurance and long and short-term disability, and more.Key Essential Functions and Accountabilities of the JobParticipates in the assessment, administration, and evaluation of respiratory therapy treatments, pulmonary function testing, performs extubations, airway management and ventilatory life support to critical adult, pediatric, and neonatal patientsParticipates with other health care professionals in obtaining, interpreting and evaluating pulmonary function tests, arterial blood gases, airway management and respiratory treatmentsProvides instruction to patients in the use of respiratory therapy equipment, inhalation gases and other therapies related to the treatment of respiratory diseases and/or the promotion of respiratory wellnessOther FunctionsResponsible for the cleaning, care and maintenance of all equipment used in the delivery of respiratory treatments and pulmonary function testingOther duties as assignedSupervisory ResponsibilitiesThis position does not require supervisory responsibilities.Education, Certifications, and Licenses RequiredEquivalent to graduation from high school and successful completion of an approved school of Respiratory Therapy.Credentialed by the NBRC as a Certified Respiratory Therapist or Registered Respiratory Therapist at time of hire.Respiratory Therapy license from any stateHigh school diploma or GEDBasic Life SupportACLS & PALS required within 3 months of hireClinical Competency required within 3 months of hire and every three yearsHigh Risk Competency required within 3 months of hire and every yearExperience RequiredTwo years’ experience as a certified Respiratory Therapist preferred.Knowledge ofRespiratory care modalities for adults, pediatrics, and neonatal patientsSkills inUse of mechanical ventilators skillfully and offers alternative solutions; cardiopulmonary resuscitationAbility toAccurately interpret arterial blood gases; use of mechanical ventilators; work alone/unsupervisedWork under adverse conditions such as communicable infectious diseasesTravel RequiredUp to 25% travel expected.Required Certifications:Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) - American Heart Association, Basic Life Support (BLS) - American Heart Association, Certified Respiratory Therapist - National Board for Respiratory Care, Clinical Competency Assessment - SEARHC, High Risk Competency - SEARHC, Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) - American Heart Association, Respiratory Therapist License - State of AlaskaIf you like wild growth and working with happy, enthusiastic over-achievers, you'll enjoy your career with us!
