Respiratory Therapist

- Hiring Process: Profile Review: Profile Review with MedSol Clinical, Interview with Unit manager at facility - Radius: 60 MILES, DL must be submitted - Week of orientation: Please ensure clinicians are in state for week of orientation even if first day modules are remote Department: RT -STM # treatments per day 10-30 Certs (BLS, ACLS, PALS, NRP?) RRT or is CRT acceptable? Required certs BLS, ACLS, PALS, NRP. RRT or CRT are acceptable Types of patients (adults, peds, and neonates?) Mostly adults but also see peds and neonates. What areas do they cover (Inpatient, Outpatient, ER, Rehab, Sleep Lab, etc.) Inpatient, outpatient, ER Experience or 'Must have' skills Neonate experience with Bubble Cpap and vent Job Duties (ie: Do RTs draw ABGs, perform EKGs, etc.) RTs do draw ABGs and they do perform EKGs Are RTs Required to be able to Intubate Independently or only to assist? No Respiratory Manager/Supervisor/Lead Therapist? Repiratory Manager and Lead therapist "Shifts & Scheduling (Do you allow self-scheduling? Block scheduling?) *Would they ever be the only RT in-house?*" We need night shift coverage. We do not self-schedule. During night shift they would be the only therapist on shift with a second therapist on call. Weekend Requirements Yes, coverage needed is Saturday, Sunday, Monday nights Holiday Requirements Yes. Call or standby call requirement? Yes, on call coverage is about 4 days per month. What is call response time 1 hour Floating Requirements No floating outside of RT; If an extreme need could float within Zone 1: PEN, SFH, SFI, SMC, STM Scrub Color/Dress Code Solid colored scrubs, any color RT Equipment (Brand for Vents, Cpap, Bipap, High Flow) vents- Puritan Bennett 980, CPAP and BIPAP- C1 Hamilton, HHF- AirVo and Vapotherm. Bubble CPAP- Fisher and Paykel Hospitalist or Intensivist in house Hospitalist in house Department Specific Orientation Yes, we have preceptors for orientation
