nResponsibilities
nPromotes healing of acutely ill patients whose cardiac or pulmonary systems have been compromised through illness or injury through the provision of respiratory care, diagnostic testing, providing for the psycho-social needs of the patient, and patient education. Encourages and enhances the progression and efficient operation of the Cardiopulmonary Services Department. Treats patients from newborn, pediatrics, adolescents, young, middle, and older adults. When requested, assists day-to-day operations of the Cardiopulmonary Department, referring out-of-the –ordinary issues to the Manager and/or Medical Director, as appropriate. Provides diagnostic testing to the patient to help optimize the total care given. Performs arterial punctures for blood gas analysis; knowledge in the operation, maintenance, troubleshooting and quality control of ABG analyzers. Abilities to use mechanical ventilators, bi-level ventilation equipment, peak flow meters, ability to perform respiratory assessment.

- nCurrent State Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) license.nn n
- nCurrent BCLS (ARC or AHA) certificate upon hire and maintain current.nn n
- nCurrent PALS (ARC or AHA) certificate within 3 months from date of hire and maintain currentnn n
- nCurrent ACLS (ARC or AHA) certificate upon hire and maintain currentnn n
- nEffective April 1, 2026 NRP certificate required upon hire and maintain current.nn n
- nEnglish fluency (written and verbally).nn n
- nExperience: Knowledge of the general/specific tasks necessary to the practice of Respiratory Care; requires demonstrated competency in the ability and knowledge to effectively care for the newborn to geriatric patient.nn n

nCentinela Hospital Medical Center offers competitive compensation and a comprehensive benefits package that provides employees the flexibility to tailor benefits according to their individual needs. Our Total Rewards package includes, but is not limited to, paid time off, a 401K retirement plan, medical, dental, and vision coverage, tuition reimbursement, and many more voluntary benefit options. Benefits may vary based on collective bargaining agreement requirements and/or the employment status, i.e. full-time or part-time. The current compensation range for this role is $31.50 to $46.81. The exact starting compensation to be offered will be determined at the time of selecting an applicant for hire, in which a wide range of factors will be considered, including but not limited to, skillset, years of applicable experience, education, credentials and licensure.
