This role involves independent clinical decision-making, patient monitoring, and the administration of respiratory therapies in alignment with healthcare standards and departmental policies. Key Responsibilities:
- Assess, implement, and evaluate respiratory care plans for diverse patient populations.
- Administer therapies including mechanical ventilation (invasive/non-invasive), oxygen therapy, nebulized medications, and chest physiotherapy.
- Respond to emergency situations including code blues and rapid response calls.
- Accurately document clinical information and verify physician orders in the electronic medical record system.
- Collaborate effectively with the healthcare team and communicate clearly with patients and families.
- Mentor new team members and contribute to ongoing quality improvement initiatives.
Job Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited Respiratory Care program
- Current Oklahoma RCP license (or temporary practice letter)
- Certified or Registered Respiratory Therapist (CRT/RRT)
- Basic Life Support (BLS) within 2 months of hire
- 6+ months of clinical experience
- Proficiency in airway management, ventilator care, bronchoscopy assistance, and therapeutic interventions
