Respiratory Therapist
Responsible for setting up and operating various types of respiratory care equipment and using additional competencies to assist physicians with advanced procedures related to the diagnosis or treatment of cardiopulmonary diseases. Ensures the continuity of patient care delivery within an assigned area by providing direct personal care, rehabilitative measures, and supportive services.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications:
- Graduate of a Respiratory Therapy program
Licensure, Registration, Certification:
- BLS
- Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) by the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC) Or
- Registered (RRT) by the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC)
- Licensed by the Alabama State Board of Respiratory Therapy
- ACLS, PALS, and/or NRP certification within 6 months of placement in position will be required in designated areas as determined by administration
Desired Qualifications:
- Associate degree or bachelor's degree in respiratory science
