We're actively seeking to hire within the next 1 to 2 weeks for experienced Respiratory Care Practitioners - II, where your expertise will play a vital role in delivering exceptional respiratory care across diverse clinical settings. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work within a fast-paced, patient-centered environment, utilizing advanced respiratory therapy techniques to improve patient outcomes. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will provide critical support in hospital medicine, emergency medicine, intensive care units, and specialized pediatric and neonatal units. Your skills in airway management, ventilator operation, and patient assessment will directly impact the quality of care we deliver.
Key Responsibilities
Leadership & Charge Duties: Serve as shift "Charge Therapist" to ensure appropriate staffing and workload distribution across patient care areas. Lead shift assignments, meal coverage, and call-off management, while preceptor-mentoring new staff and students.
Patient Assessment & Care Planning: Conduct initial and ongoing patient evaluations, analyze clinical data, formulate individualized care plans, and assess treatment efficacy in collaboration with interdisciplinary teams.
Therapy & Administration: Perform physician-ordered treatments, set up and maintain diverse therapy modes, educate patients on procedures, and adjust protocols based on patient response.
Clinical Documentation: Maintain precise medical charting, ensuring strict adherence to quality assurance, safety, environmental, and infection control standards.
Patient & Family Education: Educate patients and caregivers on cardiopulmonary conditions, MDI administration, incentive spirometers, oxygen therapy, home aerosols, and ventilator care.
Emergency Response: Actively respond to and participate in cardiopulmonary resuscitation events as clinically required.
Equipment Management: Set up, calibrate, and maintain respiratory care equipment and supplies.
Qualifications & Requirements
Education
Bachelor’s Degree in a related field (Preferred)
Experience
2+ years of experience as a Respiratory Care Professional (Required)
Certifications & Licenses
-Active State Respiratory Care License (Required)
-National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC) credential (Required)
-Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) (Preferred)
-BLS (Basic Life Support), ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support), and PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) (Preferred at hire; required prior to direct patient care)
-NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) - AAP/AWHONN (Preferred)
-Specialty credentials: CPFT, RPFT, or ACCS (Preferred)
-Valid Driver’s License (Required for Home Care / DME settings)
