- Shift: Days
- Weekend Work: Never
- On Call: No
The Respiratory Care Practitioner serves patients in their home or contracted facility by providing either clinical respiratory services or equipment management services on a scheduled visit/appointment or through on-call notification.
Responsibilities
- Complete day‑to‑day orders called into the Respiratory Therapy Department and follow up on visits for apnea monitor and/or ventilator patients, in compliance with all regulatory agencies.
- Educate patients and caregivers regarding set‑up, use, maintenance, and safety of respiratory therapy equipment in the home.
- Perform diagnostic testing on behalf of the physician.
- Communicate with the patient's physician regarding clarification of orders or the patient's response to care.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Certifications and Licensures
- RRT (Respiratory Therapy License) or CRT (welcomed for review)
- Active NBRC Credential for RRT
- BLS
- Active Driver's License
Education
- Technical Respiratory Therapy
- Associate's Respiratory Therapy
