Key Responsibilities
- Conduct specialized studies such as effective load carrying capacity (ELCC) analysis and reserve margin assessments
- Maintain and evaluate comprehensive databases for unit costs, operating characteristics, outage schedules, and fuel transportation requirements
- Evaluate diverse resource alternatives (conventional, nuclear/SMR, solar, battery storage, and emerging technologies) based on reliability, cost, risk, and utilization
- Translate complex analytical findings into executive-level reports and presentations for leadership and external stakeholders
- 8+ years of progressively responsible experience in electric resource planning, management, engineering, or operations
- 3-4 years of hands-on experience developing, maintaining, validating, and executing PLEXOS models or comparable production cost/capacity expansion tools
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Energy Management, Energy Systems, or a related field
- State of Florida Professional Engineer (PE) license
- Experience with emerging energy technologies including solar, battery storage, and SMR
