This role provides assistance in preparing written communications and materials for donor-related activities. The Resource Development Associate exhibits flexibility and agility to help the wider Resource Development (RD) department and plays a key role in assisting with the cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship of high-level JDC donors.

We look forward to your application.What will you do as an RD Administrative Associate?Essential FunctionsSupport to Senior Leaders and DonorsProvide high-level administrative assistance to senior leaders including calendaring, meeting scheduling, communication management, travel arrangements, reservations, trip schedules, expense reports and other operational tasksDraft or edit materials such as emails and PowerPoint presentations to donorsCoordinate logistical assistance for events, missions, visits and meetings, both in-person and via ZoomRecord meeting minutes and summariesUtilize the database (Raiser's Edge NXT) to track, update, retrieve, and collate donor information from donor database and other sources including relationship's history and cultivation process, commitments, payments, reporting, etc.Project Coordination and SupportMeet the administrative and logistical needs for projects owned by the Senior leaders this position supports: RD Seminar (international meetings for the global development team), RD Donors and Federations Forums, RD Board Committee, Development Team Calls, and Event SupportManage workflows from inception to completion for operational and events-related projectsProactively follow-up with team members across departments to ensure projects are completedWork closely with the other development staff to reserve rooms, create agendas, prepare documents, send out communications, and take minutes, engaging with Board members as neededSecondary Functions/ResponsibilitiesTraining and Onboarding for Administrative professionals and Senior Development Officers SupportFamiliarize yourself with JDC's global mission and workOther related duties as assignedWhat qualifications do you need to be our RD Administrative Associate?Experience supporting senior staff members at the director level or above strongly preferredPrevious administrative or similar experience working in an office requiredExperience with database and CRMs such as Salesforce or Raiser's Edge/NXT– training will be providedProficiency with Microsoft Suite (Excel, PPT, Outlook, Teams, SharePoint); Tech savvyExceptional organizational and prioritization skills; experience coordinating and working on multiple projects simultaneouslyDetail-orientationProactive approach and problem-solving skillsExcellent relational skillsStrong English business writing skillsExcellent follow-through, comfortable interacting with colleagues and high-level staff to ensure tasks are accomplishedTeamwork and customer-service skills/mindsetAbility to read words and numbers and communicate in person or over the telephoneAbility to operate computer keyboard and other office equipmentPassion for humanitarian work and/or global Jewish service strongly preferredAdditional DetailsEmployment Type: Full-Time, permanentHours: 35 hours/week, 8:45 AM – 4:45PMLocation: New York, NY – Hybrid, in-office 2 days/weekReports to: Senior Development OfficerJob Function/Department: Resource DevelopmentWhat are the compensation and benefits for an RD Administrative Associate?This is a full-time position paid semi-monthly at a salary of $60,000-$70,000 per year; in determining where a candidate falls in that range JDC considers several factors, including skills and experience, internal equity, and cost of living in location of work.
