Northwestern Counseling & Support Services is seeking Residential Support Staff to join our dedicated teams in our 24/7 Residential Programs.In this role, you'll support adults living with severe and persistent mental illness by helping create a safe, welcoming, and recovery-focused home environment where individuals can build independence, build life skills, and thrive.What You'll DoCreate a safe, respectful, and supportive home environmentAssist residents with activities of daily living, including personal care, meal preparation, and household tasksImplement individualized, person-centered support plansEncourage community involvement, recreational activities, and social connectionsAdminister medications and maintain accurate documentationCommunicate and collaborate effectively with supervisors, clinicians, and fellow team membersTransport residents to appointments and community activities using your personal vehicleOur ideal candidate:Has experience working in residential services, behavioral health, or with individuals experiencing mental health challengesIs calm under pressure, organized, and communicates effectivelyDemonstrates empathy, patience, and a genuine commitment to supporting recovery and independenceHolds a valid driver's license and has reliable transportationIs flexible and willing to work evenings, weekends, overnights, or other assigned shiftsSome schedules include a rotation of asleep overnight shifts, depending on staffing needs and the level of support required at each residential site.
