Residential SupervisorThe Residential Supervisor provides leadership and operational oversight for 2–4 Community Integrated Living Arrangement (CILA) homes, supporting a caseload of up to 16 people with intellectual/developmental disabilities and directly supervising Direct Support Professional (DSP) team members.This position is responsible for ensuring high-quality, person-centered services while maintaining compliance with all applicable federal, state, licensing, accreditation, and agency standards, including requirements established by DHS, DCFS, IDPH, BQM, BALC, CQL, CMS, and other regulatory entities.The Residential Supervisor develops and supports DSP teams through coaching, mentoring, accountability, and performance management while fostering an environment where people with intellectual and developmental disabilities can achieve their personal goals, exercise choice, develop independence, and actively participate in their communities. The position also oversees household operations, staffing, budgets, and agency resources in alignment with Ray Graham Association's mission, values, and strategic priorities.Schedule ExpectationsThe Residential Supervisor schedule is designed to provide consistent leadership and support across assigned residential locations.Typical schedules are Sunday–Thursday or Tuesday–Saturday, based on program needs.Standard work hours are generally 11:00 a.m. – 7:30 p.m., including one later evening each week.One workday may be scheduled flexibly for administrative responsibilities with supervisor approval.Weekend shifts are primarily first shift but may include second-shift coverage based on operational needs.Regular travel between multiple residential homes and other Ray Graham Association locations is required.Must be available to adjust work hours for emergencies, staffing needs, on-call responsibilities, meetings, and program operations.Essential ResponsibilitiesLeadership & OperationsProvide direct supervision, coaching, mentoring, and accountability for DSP team members.Conduct performance evaluations, observations, coaching sessions, and corrective action in accordance with agency timelines.Coordinate onboarding, orientation, training, certification, and professional development of team members.Maintain appropriate staffing coverage and respond promptly to operational needs.Ensure compliance with agency policies, procedures, licensing regulations, accreditation standards, and contractual requirements.Maintain working knowledge of the AFSCME collective bargaining agreement and administer provisions consistently.Promote a culture of professionalism, respect, accountability, and excellent customer service.Collaborate with Residential Coordinators, QIDPs, nursing staff, families, and interdisciplinary teams to ensure quality services.Ensure residential homes remain safe, clean, organized, and compliant with agency standards.Team support, data entry, and administrative deadlines.Maintain records that support internal and external audits.Monitor inventory, household supplies, and purchasing needs.Performance organizationRequirementsEducationRequiredHigh School Diploma or GEDValid Illinois Driver's LicensePreferredAssociate or bachelor's degree in human services, Social Work, Psychology, Special Education, or a related field.Required CertificationsSuccessfully complete CANTS, LEADS, State Police, and all required background checks.Successfully complete all agency-required orientation and training within established timeframes.Maintain certifications and training required by Ray Graham Association and applicable regulatory agencies.ExperienceRequiredMinimum of 3 year's experience providing direct support services to people with intellectual and developmental disabilities.Previous leadership, mentoring, or supervisory experience.Experience working within person-centered service models.Preferred3–5 years of supervisory experience in residential human services.Experience with DHS, IDPH, CQL, HCBS, BALC, Therap, and electronic documentation systems.Experience supervising union
