Residential Mortgage ProcessorResponsible for efficient processing of residential mortgage loan applications.Essential FunctionsDisclose new mortgage applications in a timely, accurate and compliant mannerManage a pipeline of conventional, government and/or portfolio loansEvaluate all new loan documentation to ensure a timely and efficient submission into underwritingMaintain high level of customer service with proactive communication between borrowers, Sales and Operations managementCollect and review all loan conditions prior to re-submission to underwriting for final approvalEnsure accurate, complete and timely loan data being entered into loan processing systemAssist, on a "as needed" basis, in the follow-up for post-closing documentationAssist in implementation of new products and programs when necessaryAssist in special projects when necessarySupport branch network regarding mortgage loans status, policy, procedures and productsLiaison between realtors, title companies, attorneys and investorsMaintain current knowledge of all industry and bank policies and proceduresEducation and ExperienceHigh school graduate or equivalentCollege Degree preferred5 years residential mortgage processing experience requiredStrong analytical and problem-solving skillsSound judgment and strong decision-making abilitySelf-motivated with ability to work independentlyMust possess excellent interpersonal and written communication skillsAbility to multi-task and to prioritize responsibilitiesAbility to work under pressure and tight deadlinesHighly reliable and detail orientedExcellent computer skills in a Microsoft Windows environment including proficiency in Word, Excel and Outlook are required. Familiarity with systems such as Encompass and Desktop Underwriter is a plusSkills/Knowledge/Abilities RequiredKnowledgeable of all TRID guidelinesAbility to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebraAbility to read, analyze, and interpret legal documents, governmental regulations, and professional publications; ability to effectively present information and respond to inquiries from senior management, attorneys, vendors, government agents, and the general public; ability to write reports and business correspondenceAbility to apply common sense understanding to carry out written and oral instructions.
