Lochner – learn more about usYour impact:Plans, reviews, and assigns work of construction field office personnel including Lochner staff, sub-consultants and partnersReviews project activities with client and contractor's field supervision to resolve disputes and other project issuesRead and interpret complex contract plans and specificationsDevelops quality plans and performs quality management.Read and interpret construction contract languageMonitor Contractor progress and compare with reviewed Progress ScheduleReview/coordinate and prepare responses to project correspondence, RFIs and technical submittalsProactively manages construction changes and claims and work with client to resolveLeads construction meetings with clients and contractorsAssist client and Project Manager with stakeholder coordinationWork with client and contractor to manage construction budget and scheduleAssist Project Manager with management of Lochner's budget, schedule and staffingAssist Project Manager to maintain client communications and relationshipsMentor staff on CEI responsibilities and tasksOther duties as assignedWho you are:BS in Civil Engineering, Construction Management or related field10+ years of construction engineering and inspection experience on highway, bridge, and transit infrastructure projects is required.Professional Engineer License (PE) in the State of Illinois is required.At least 5 years working as a resident engineer on projects with increasing size and complexity.IDOT, Tollway, and/or Cook, DuPage, Will Counties projects is preferred.IDOT Documentation of Contract Quantities certification is requiredEffective oral and written communication skillsWillingness to work weekends, nights, and swing shifts as required on assigned projectsA valid Driver's License is requiredCommitmentJoining Lochner means gaining access to a comprehensive suite of benefits designed to support your health and financial well-being throughout your career.
