Responsibilities
- Lead resident recruitment, selection, onboarding, and retention efforts
- Direct curriculum development and ensure excellence in patient-centered medical education
- Oversee resident supervision, evaluation, promotion, remediation, and disciplinary actions in accordance with ACGME standards
- Foster scholarly activity, research, and professional development among residents and faculty
- Establish and maintain a positive, inclusive, and effective learning environment across all teaching sites
- Ensure ongoing compliance with ACGME accreditation requirements and institutional policies
- Drive initiatives that advance medical education and support the needs of our patient population
- Collaborate with departmental, institutional, and interdisciplinary leaders to advance the residency program and strengthen its reputation within the academic medical community
Compensation
- Compensation range from $275,000 to $325,000 (not including bonuses / incentive compensation or benefits)
- The salary range listed is for full-time employment
Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited medical school
- Current New York State medical license or eligibility for licensure
- Board Certification in Internal Medicine
- Minimum of 5 years of Graduate Medical Education leadership experience
- Strong management skills with the ability to plan, organize, prioritize, and execute effectively
- Exceptional leadership, mentoring, teaching, and interpersonal skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team-oriented, performance-driven healthcare system
- Demonstrated commitment to fostering diversity, equity, and inclusion throughout program leadership
