To support university clients in enhancing their research security and export controls compliance programs, the full-time Research Security Consultant will implement and maintain compliance initiatives, serve as a subject matter expert, and collaborate with various functional leaders while working remotely. Key responsibilities Implement and oversee research security and export controls compliance programs, ensuring adherence to federal regulations and institutional policies Conduct risk assessments, develop work plans, and manage the export control license process with federal agencies Build collaborative relationships with faculty, staff, and external parties to promote a culture of compliance and ethics in research activities Required qualifications In-depth understanding of ITAR, EAR, OFAC regulations, and federal contracting requirements Proven experience in developing and implementing research compliance programs or global trade compliance A Bachelor's degree with at least 5 years of relevant experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work collaboratively across departments Experience in interpreting federal regulations and developing training materials
