Production facility located in central Evansville, IN is seeking Research Technicians for their first and third shift operations. This is a TEMP TO HIRE role with competitive pay and great benefits once converted. This position is lab based in a climate-controlled environment. Technicians do work with dangerous chemical compounds and will be required to wear a full-face respirator at times during testing of compounds. Prior experience in customer service and administration is preferred. About the job:
The Research Technician is responsible for supporting testing needed to develop and formulate new products. They also perform testing on new raw materials. The Research Technician may provide any necessary technical support to various other departments in addition to any other tasks their primary supervising chemist or Lab Manager requires.
Candidates with prior experience working in a production lab are highly desired, as well as having prior experience in plastics and chemical production facilities.
Preferred Candidate Background:
- Previous research laboratory, product development, quality laboratory, or materials testing experience
- Experience working in a chemical, polymer, plastics, coatings, adhesives, sealants, manufacturing, or related technical environment
- Exposure to laboratory testing equipment and analytical instrumentation
- Experience with rheology and viscosity testing, including the use of rheometers and/or viscometers, is highly preferred
- Experience with density testing, hardness testing, and thermo connectivity.
- Experience documenting test results, maintaining laboratory records, and following testing procedures
Shift Details:
1st Shift Monday - Friday 7:00am-3:30pm (One hour lunch – 30 mins on the client)
3rd Shift Monday - Friday 11:00pm-7:30am (One hour lunch – 30 mins on the client)
Pay Details: 1st shift $19.00/3rd: $21.00 per hour
