Position Overview
Assistant Professor in the Palmer Center for Chiropractic Research (PCCR), without required teaching responsibilities, focused on research in musculoskeletal health and pain management.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement research programs in musculoskeletal health and pain management.
- Mentor Research Honors students and post‑DC research scholars.
- Provide service to the college and profession.
- Participate in and foster interdisciplinary collaborations.
- Provide mentorship to junior researchers.
- Establish and sustain a research program with a record of peer‑reviewed publications.
- Seek external funding (desirable expertise and experience).
Qualifications
- PhD or equivalent doctoral degree (e.g., ScD, DHSc) required at appointment.
- Health professional degree (e.g., DC, DO, MD, PT, RN) with experience in healthcare delivery is a plus.
- Demonstrated record of peer‑reviewed publications expected.
- Experience in seeking external funding desirable.
- Candidate in post‑doctoral position or within 12 months of ABD of a research‑oriented doctoral degree, with doctorate conferred by appointment.
