Position Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Research Associate in Antibody Discovery to assist with challenging discovery campaigns across multiple targets. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in yeast display and/or phage display and mammalian tissue culture. The candidate will help build a unique pipeline of antibody therapeutic candidates. The successful candidate will be a proactive and resilient individual who thrives in a team-focused, cutting-edge environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support antibody discovery efforts by executing laboratory experiments related to library generation and panning campaigns.
- Assist with workflows including antibody characterization, engineering, humanization, affinity maturation, and all other lead optimization activities.
- Perform basic tissue culture operations to maintain, transfect, and harvest mammalian cell biomass.
- Produce high-quality, reliable data and maintain accurate, detailed laboratory records.
- Operate and maintain the relevant equipment.
- Maintain close collaborative interactions with colleagues within the research group and regularly communicate progress to the team or supervisors.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Molecular Biology or a related field (REQUIRED).
- Minimum of 5 years of molecular biology experience (REQUIRED).
- Minimum of 2 years of antibody discovery experience in the laboratory (REQUIRED).
- Hands-on experience with antibody display technologies (e.g., phage display or yeast surface display), including library construction and/or selection/panning (REQUIRED).
- Proficiency with cloning, sequencing, and using basic molecular biology techniques (e.g. PCR, restriction enzymes).
- Demonstrated capability to independently design, implement, and troubleshoot experimental work in a laboratory.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail with a commitment to maintaining accurate lab records.
- Experience with library construction is a plus.
- Experience with bioinformatics tools for sequence analysis is a plus.
