Title: Research Associate, RNAi Chemical Development
DURATION: 1+ year with the potential to extend (up to 2-year max)
LOCATION: Boulder, CO – ONSITE
SCHEDULE: 8am-5pm (some flexibility)

PURPOSE
This role supports delivery of high-quality oligonucleotide starting materials to innovation and process development teams, enabling ligation-based RNAi manufacturing development and platform expansion.
The position is responsible for maintaining a reliable supply system to support fast-paced program advancement.
RELATIONSHIPS
- Collaborates with RNAi Chemical Development, Innovation, and Scale-Up teams.
- Interfaces with API development and oligonucleotide production stakeholders.
- Individual contributor within a cross-functional environment.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Support preparation and delivery of oligonucleotide starting materials.
- Execute laboratory procedures related to oligonucleotide synthesis, processing, and purification.
- Operate and maintain workflows ensuring reliable material supply.
- Support ligation development through timely substrate preparation.
- Maintain equipment and document workflows and materials.
- Drive continuous improvement in efficiency and scalability.
QUALIFICATIONS
Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s in chemistry, biochemistry, or related field.
Experience: 0–3+ years of relevant lab experience.
Technical Skills:
- Familiarity with standard laboratory techniques.
- Experience with HPLC or LC-MS is a plus.
- Familiarity with automated oligonucleotide synthesizers (e.g., Mermade systems) is preferred.
- Experience with ion-exchange purification methods for oligonucleotides is preferred.
- Basic understanding of RNAi or oligonucleotide chemistry preferred.
