Managing a team of accountants, the full-time salaried Research Accounting Manager will oversee the financial administration of approximately 2,600 sponsored awards, focusing on post-award management and team development in a hybrid work environment. Key responsibilities Plan, organize, and direct the work of Sponsored Projects Accounting (SPA) accountants to ensure effective management of sponsored awards Onboard and train new team members while evaluating performance and guiding their professional development Interpret and communicate relevant federal, state, and local regulations related to research administration operations and policies Required qualifications Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field 6+ years of experience in post-award management of sponsored grants and contracts or managerial accounting Knowledge of Uniform Guidance and Federal Acquisition Regulations Experience with Microsoft Office and relevant computer systems Ability to manage a high volume of complex projects and work collaboratively with diverse stakeholders
