We invite you to apply to join our team of employees who are dedicated to excellence that meet the needs of the warfighters and our customers around the world, day in and day out.Job SummaryInstalls, modifies, moves, troubleshoots, repairs and dismantles machinery and equipment according to requisition documentation, layout plans, blueprints or other drawings. Prepares installation site by constructing foundations and aligns and fastens machinery to the foundation using hoists, dollies, rollers, trucks, tools, squares, rules and micrometers. Performs operational tests on newly installed, modified, repaired and moved machinery and equipment to ensure that it meets technical specifications.

Fabricates metal parts for prototype equipment based on drawings. Programs PLCs (programmable logic controllers).  Weekday shift (Monday - Thursday, 4/10 shifts). Weekend Shift (Friday-Sunday 6am-6pm - premium shift differential pay included)Impact of the RoleGeneral ProfileRequires basic skills in an analytical or scientific method or operational processWorks within clearly defined standard operating procedures and/or scientific methods and adheres to quality guidelinesWorks with close supervisionPerforms manual tasks according to established proceduresEssential FunctionsAssists with the installation, operation, testing, and adjustment of various types of conventional or automatic machines used to produce precision parts and instruments.?Fabricates and modifies parts to make or repair machine tools or maintain industrial machines, applying knowledge of mechanics, shop mathematics, metal properties, layout, and machining procedures.??Machines parts to specifications using machine tools such as lathes, milling machines, shapers, or grinders.??Measures, examines, and tests completed units in order to detect defects and ensure conformance to specifications.?Required QualificationsRequired education and experience: Vocational/Technical Training Degree and 1-2 years' experience OR Equivalent Combination of Relevant Education &/or ExperiencePreferred QualificationsPreferred education and experience: Associate's DegreeDiscipline/Major: Technical training preferredKnowledge, skills & abilities: Mathematical skills. Technical expertise.
