IT Tax ConsultantLocation: Cleveland, OhioDuration: 6+ months with potential for extensionRate: $60/Hr. on W2Candidates who are located in the Greater Cleveland Ohio area will be contacted first, then candidates who live within a 2–3-hour radius, remote candidates will be contacted last.Required Skills:Must have a background in Tax - from a financial perspective.Some kind of Tax / Indirect Tax System experience.Examples: Onesource (this is what client uses), GTD, CorTax, Vertex, AvalaraBasic Qualifications:5+ years of experience in a medium large organization (1000+ employees) Must have experience interacting with IT groups developers, system teams, project management teams, etc Must have a background in Tax from a financial perspective.Additional Skills: Preferred but not required:Bachelors/Master in: Information Systems, Accounting, Tax, Computer ScienceProduct Ownership Comprises of the Following Services:Evolution and support of tax in a digital world.Partnering with the Finance Transformation Team, Business Transformation and Business Owners for alignment of technology, and processes.Emerging tax processes in a digital environment; SaaS, PaaS, Cloud technologies, API services.Analytics, Autonomous Transaction Processing, and Reporting.Building on key foundation technologies supporting RPA (Robotic Process Automation), and AI (Artificial Intelligence).International Indirect Tax Implementations and configurations.Transformation of the operational elements to deliver evolving technologies in batch and real time.Audit Compliance and data content services platform management to optimize digital tax document storage.Strategic implementation of Tax Technologies and roadmap planning.To Qualify, You Must Have:A desire to lead a team of people.A bachelor’s degree in information systems and/or a master’s degree in Accounting, Tax, Computer Science, or related field, and a minimum of 5 years related work experience.Strong communication skills.A natural skillset to resolve problems quickly and accurately.Ability to efficiently collect and record business requirements.Excellent time management skills.Your career involves already an interest in Cloud technologies, solutioning, and data management.Ideally You Will Have the Following Experience:Implementation of Indirect Tax Systems (preferably ONESOURCE Cloud), or similar (GTD, CorpTax, Vertex, Avalara).Oracle Cloud (RAPID) configurations.SQL.Experience with ATP, data models, and consolidation of data from multiple sources.Knowledge and experience implementing API’s.ERP implementations (preferably Oracle Cloud).Solution Architecture integrating tax functions within an ERP environment (preferably Oracle Cloud).SharePoint, creation of Lean Specifications.Experience with large ERP implementations, transformations, and data integrations impacting tax.Automation and exposure to digital tax transformation.
