Sanford Health is seeking a BE/BC Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility (REI) physician to join their established Women's Health group in Sioux Falls, South Dakota. This role involves expanding the program through outreach and managing a full-time practice supported by a dedicated team and advanced on-site facilities. The physician will provide comprehensive reproductive endocrinology and infertility care to adult and adolescent patients.

Practice Info

  • Join a successful group of 1 REI physician and 2 APPs, supported by well-trained staff.
  • Over 940 patients a month are seen, with the number continuing to grow.
  • The practice is supported by OB-GYNs, MFMs, and Neonatology in the on-site Level IV NICU.
  • High complexity, advanced reproductive medicine lab on site.
  • Ultrasound (AIUM accredited) and Procedure rooms in clinic.
  • Genetic counselors, Behavioral Health Therapists and Integrative Health Therapist support the practice.

Responsibilities

  • Perform history and physical examination.
  • Admit and/or provide outpatient evaluation, consultation, and treatment of adult patients and adolescents presenting with problems with fertility.
  • Provide outpatient evaluation, consultation, and treatment of female patients of all ages presenting with problems of reproductive hormones, such as ovulation induction, hirsutism, amenorrhea, and hyperprolactinemia.
  • Expand the program through outreach in Rapid City, South Dakota.

Shift & Schedule

  • IVF call is 1:1 taken one week at a time.
  • Traditional call is 1:4, shared with APPs.

Requirements

  • BE/BC in Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility.
  • M.D. or D.O. degree.
  • Successful completion of an Obstetrics and Gynecology Residency program and a 3-year Fellowship program in Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility accredited by the ACGME, the American Osteopathic Association (AOA) or the Royal College of Physician and Surgeons of Canada.
  • Certification by the appropriate specialty board of the American Board of Medical Specialties (ABMS), the American Osteopathic Association (AOA), or the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada, as applicable.
  • If not board certified at the time of application but completed residency training within the last five years, must achieve board certification within five years from the date of completion of residency training.
  • Demonstrate active involvement in the clinical aspects of Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility in the past 24 months, including the management of 25 patient cases, with satisfactory quality data.
