bout the Role: We're looking for an experienced Collector Substation Engineer to join our team and work on exciting renewable energy projects. This fully remote role offers flexibility and the chance to make a real impact in the growing renewables sector.

- Design and lead collector substation projects, especially in renewable energy (like wind and solar).
- nalyze and calculate substation performance to ensure everything runs safely and efficiently.
- Work closely with project teams to develop plans, layouts, and cost estimates.
- Choose equipment, design layouts, and review technical specs.
- Make sure all designs meet industry standards and safety rules.
- Support construction, testing, and commissioning efforts.
- Occasionally visit project sites to guide and check progress.
- Keep up with the latest in renewable energy and substation tech.
- Bachelors in Electrical Engineering (required); Master's is a plus.
- PE (Professional Engineer) license preferred.
- 5+ years of experience in substation engineering, with at least 1 year on the generation side.
- Background in engineering consulting (firms like Burns & McDonnell, Client, TRC, etc.) rather than utilities.
- Solid understanding of renewable energy systems and how they connect to substations.
- Skilled in engineering tools and software.
- Strong problem-solving, communication, and time-management skills.
