Renewable Energy Superintendent

TheSuperintendent(RenewableEnergyDivision)isresponsibleformonitoringprojectsthroughtheirfulllifecyclewithastrongfocusonsafety,quality,fieldleadership,scheduleexecution,documentation,andcommunication .Thisroleworkscloselywiththeprojectmanager/projectteamandtheownersteam,andmustbehighlyorganized,proactive,andabletoperforminafast-pacedenvironment.

RenewableEnergyprojectsrequirestrongfieldleadershipacrossmultiplescopesandfast-movingschedules,oftenincluding:

• Oversightofsubcontractorsacrosscivil,electrical,mechanical,andtestingscopes
• Experiencewithground-mountsolar andcommonsystemsincludingfixedtiltandtrackersystems
• Strongdailyfieldexecutionpracticesincludinglook-aheads,dailyreporting ,andproactiveissueresolution
• Solar-specificsafetyexposure,includingPPEconsiderationsnotedfor"site-specificwork(i.e.,solar)"andtheneedforhearingprotectionwhererenewableenergymechanismscreatehazards
• HeightenedfocusonfallprotectionrequirementsforrooftopPVenvironmentswhereapplicable(includingrequiredsetbacksanddefinedfallprotectionapproachesnearroofedges)

KeyResponsibilities

FieldLeadership,Planning&Schedule

• Developphasingplansandlook-aheadschedules whilecommunicatingprogressupdatestotheprojectteamandstakeholders.
• Trackprojectprogressandmaintainschedulesonaregularbasis.
• Coordinateallconstructionactivitieswithtradepartnersandstakeholderstofacilitatecompletionoftheproject.
• OwndailyfieldexecutionandcoordinationwiththePMteam;proactivelysurfacerisks,constraints,andstaffing/scheduleneeds.

Safety,Cleanliness&Quality

• Organizeandmaintainsafe,clean,andorderlyprojectsiteandworkingenvironment .
• Enforcesitesafetyrequirementsandensurecompliancewithapplicablesafety/healthstandards.
• Monitorinstalledworkforquality;enforcequalitycontrolplansandcorrectdeficienciesquickly.
• Applysolar-awarePPEpracticesandhazardcontrolswhereworkmayinvolvesolar-specificrisks.

Communication&StakeholderManagement

• ActasaliaisonforBEARandprojectownersonsiteinaprofessionalmanner.
• CollaborateandcommunicateclearlyandconciselywithBEARprojectteam,owners,architect/engineer,tradepartners,subcontractors,andsuppliers.
• Provideclearwrittendocumentationtoallpartiesinvolvedontheproject.

Documentation&Controls(CriticalinRenewableEnergyDelivery)

• Readandunderstandprojectdocumentsincludingdrawings,shopdrawings,specifications,productdatasheets,andschedules.
• Manage,track,anddocumentprojectactivitiesincludingsafety,schedules,dailyreports,tradehours,materialdeliverytracking,RFIs/submittalsstatus,photodocumentation,changedocumentation,andpunchlistitems.
• Utilizeprojectdocumentationtools(experiencewithtoolslikeExcel/Procore/SmartsheethasbeennotedinBEARRenewableEnergysuperintendentscreening).
• Understandtheimportanceofproperaccountingphasecodesandassigningtime.
• Maintainstrongphotodocumentationpractices.

RenewableEnergyFieldExecutionSupport(Multi-scopecoordination)

• Coordinatesubcontractorsandworkflowstomaintainqualityandpaceofworkacrossscopes.
• SupportQC,layout/verification,inspections,andmaterialverificationaspartofdailyexecutionexpectations.

Materials,Equipment,andSiteLogistics

• Manageequipmentandmaterialsasrequired;trackdeliveriesandstaging.
• Coordinateactivitieswithlocalpermitagenciesasneeded.
• Resolveon-siteissuesandemergenciesquicklyandeffectively.

Qualifications

• PreviousexperienceasaconstructionSuperintendentpreferred.
• Fieldexperience,tradeschool,orcollegedegree(ConstructionManagement/Engineeringpreferred).
• Knowledgeoflocalquality,safety,andhealthguidelinesforconstructionjobsites.
• FamiliaritywithMSOfficepreferred;comfortusingdocumentationandcoordinationtools.
• Procoreandschedulingsoftwareawareness.
• Strongorganizationalandtime-managementskills;abilitytoleadandinspire.

Safety/Certifications(RenewableEnergy-relevant)

• OSHA30
• Preferredsolar-relatedcertificationsnotedinBEARsolarrecruitingincludeNFPA70E ,SWPPP ,andNABCEPAssociate (preferred).

WorkSchedule&Environment

• Thisisafull-timefieldrolesupportingactiverenewableenergyprojects.
• BEAR'ssuperintendentoffertemplatereferencesstandardfieldhoursasgenerally7:00AM-4:00PM(orasmutuallyagreed) ,withflexibilityforprojectprioritiesandpotentialadditionalhours/weekends.
