**About the Role**
We are seeking **1 2 skilled Remote Video Editors** to support ongoing content production. This is a fully remote, project-based role focused exclusively on post-production. No filming, on-site work, or equipment setup is required.
The ideal candidate is creative, detail-oriented, and able to turn raw footage into polished, engaging content while meeting deadlines and maintaining consistent quality.
### Key Responsibilities
* Edit raw footage into polished videos for social media, marketing, and business communications.
* Create both short-form and long-form content optimized for audience engagement and platform requirements.
* Add captions, graphics, transitions, music, sound effects, and other visual elements as needed.
* Perform color correction, audio balancing, and basic post-production enhancements.
* Ensure content follows brand guidelines, project objectives, and quality standards.
* Incorporate feedback and revisions efficiently while meeting project timelines.
* Organize project assets and maintain proper file management.
* Communicate proactively and collaborate effectively in a remote environment.
### Qualifications
* Proven video editing experience with a portfolio demonstrating relevant work.
* Proficiency in **Adobe Premiere Pro, DaVinci Resolve, Final Cut Pro, or equivalent professional editing software**.
* Strong understanding of storytelling, pacing, composition, and audience retention.
* Experience creating content for YouTube, social media, marketing campaigns, or business communications preferred.
* Ability to work independently, manage multiple projects, and meet deadlines with minimal supervision.
* Strong communication skills and responsiveness in a remote work environment.
### Working Arrangement
* **Remote freelance/contract position**
* **Project-based engagement only**
* No guaranteed minimum hours, projects, or weekly workload.
* Assignments are based entirely on business needs; some weeks may have no assignments, while others may have a higher volume of work.
* **No weekly or hourly commitment is guaranteed.**
* Editors are compensated only for approved work completed on assigned projects.
### Compensation
* **USD $8 $10/hour**, depending on experience and portfolio quality.
* Payment is based on time worked for assigned projects.
* High-performing editors may have opportunities for ongoing freelance collaboration.
### Selection Process
Shortlisted candidates will be invited to complete a **brief, unpaid editing assessment** using provided raw footage.
We initially plan to **hire two editors** and evaluate performance during live project work to determine potential long-term collaboration.
### Test Task
Create a **polished 1-minute video** from the supplied footage while following the provided editing guidelines.
