REMOTE Software Solutions Architect

Job Description

A client of Insight Global is seeking a Software Solutions Architect to bridge customer requirements and software development delivery. This individual will lead to system design efforts, translating business needs into architecture, user stories, and actionable development work.

This role supports the full software lifecycle within automated systems-from design through development, testing, and commissioning. This role will require 30-50% travel to customer sites.

Key Responsibilities:

Own the relationship between requirements and development execution

Lead software design, including functional and interface specifications

Break down requirements into user stories and technical tasks

Guide developers with architecture and design direction

Support transition from solutioning into implementation and delivery

Partner with stakeholders to resolve complex system challenges

Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education but will vary from $120,000-$145,000

Benefit packages while on contract for this role will start on the 1st day of employment and include medical, dental, and vision insurance, as well as HSA, FSA, and DCFSA account options, and 401k retirement account access with employer matching. Skills and Requirements

5+ years of software development experience

2+ years in architecture or system design roles

Experience designing end-to-end systems and workflows

Experience with Jira

Familiar with API documentation and specification

Strong ability to break down complex solutions into deliverable components

Experience with Java, .NET, and Oracle

Strong communication skills in a customer-facing environment Material handling experience
