Remote Sensing And Geospatial Support Geospatial Programming Specialist I (RSGS8)ProSidian seeks a Remote Sensing And Geospatial Support Geospatial Programming Specialist I (RSGS8) located: CONUS: Washington DC and Salt Lake City, UT to provide Agriculture, Forestry, Fishing, And Hunting Sector related Environmental Services Solutions for GTAC Remote Sensing & Geospatial Support Services on behalf of The USDA Forest Service-SPOC SW (USDA-FS). These services are considered part of the ProSidian Professional Services Sector Group with overall focuses being Multi-Sector Expertise, Experience, And Specialized Knowledge through Professional Services to Help Clients Solve Problems And Improve Operations under NAICS Code: - All Other Professional, Scientific and Technical Services for The Department of Agriculture with service(s) also characterized as The purpose of this request for information is to gather vendor's ability to provide professional remote sensing and geospatial services for the Forest Service.Provide support to customize and configure geospatial software applications to meet project or user needs. Applies scripting/programming languages within the application programming interfaces (APIs) native to commercial and/or open-source remote sensing/geospatial software applications to create geospatial workflows or custom tools for data processing and management, analysis, modeling, visualization and product generation.Responsibilities and duties include:Demonstrated experience in creating scripts (e.g., Python, JavaScript, ERDAS SML and EML, R, etc.) for automated processing and analysis/modeling of geospatial data, including remote sensing datasets.Demonstrated experience in preparing technical reports, technology transfer and geospatial training materials for technology evaluation, development, and production/operational projects.Demonstrated experience working with standard and disparate sources of airborne/satellite imagery types to assess, map, monitor, and inventory natural resources.Demonstrated ability to process, analyze, and model in enterprise geospatial software applications (e.g., ERDAS Imagine and Esri ArcGIS Pro) as well as open source software packages.Desired qualifications for Agriculture, Forestry, Fishing, And Hunting Sector Time and Materials 874-1 Consultant candidates - assist program and project management in a functional area with educational and practical experience.

Programmer:Bachelor's degree related to computer science, geography, GIS, remote sensing, or physical / biological / environment / natural resource discipline with substantive coursework in geospatial analysis and modeling, and three (3) years of work experience in geospatial analysis and programming.ORGraduate degree related to computer science, geography, GIS, remote sensing, or physical / biological / environment / natural resource discipline with substantive coursework in geospatial analysis and modeling, and one (1) year of work experience in geospatial analysis and programming.ORPhD degree related to computer science, geography, GIS, remote sensing, or physical / biological / environmental discipline, including emphasis or coursework in geospatial analysis and programming.Required skills and abilities include:Ability to initiate, develop and maintain mutually beneficial client relationshipsAbility to read, analyze and interpret common scientific and technical reports or journals, financial reports and legal documentsAbility to respond to inquiries from internal and external clientsAbility to write scopes-of-work, budget estimates, schedules, reports of findings, proposals, general correspondence, and other technical documentsClear vision and depth perception are also necessaryEmployees must be sharp, focused, and alert when conducting site inspections, speaking and interacting with clients, preparing written reports of findings, and testifying in deposition or trialMust be able to interact and communicate with clients at all levels (e.g. internal and external)Must have high level of analytical skillsMust have knowledge of a variety of computer software applications including but not limited to, Microsoft Office Applications and computer-assisted engineering and design softwareSkills required:Ability to multi-task and pay close attention to detail.Excellent analytical, organizational and time management skills.Strong communication skills, both oral and written.Competencies required:U.S. Citizenship Required - You must be a United States CitizenExcellent oral and written communication skills (This employer participates in the e-Verify program)Proficient with Microsoft Office Products (Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Publisher, & Adobe)Ancillary details of the roles:Places(s) of performance: Team ProSidian shall perform the majority of services under this Contract at Washington D.C., Salt Lake City UTTravel: Travel will be approved by the Project Manager and will be reimbursed.Risk Level Designation: Low Risk - background investigations required and Personnel performing labor categories designated at the MODERATE or LOW risk levels must be either United States Citizens or Lawful Permanent Residents of the United States.Other details:Work products shall be thorough, accurate, appropriately documented, and comply with established criteria.
