Kode Health is an early stage health-tech company looking to change the way coding is done -- building a marketplace to connect healthcare companies with certified medical coders in a gig environment and help healthcare leadership to optimize their team’s potential. Our team currently comprises approximately 150 employees and is looking to expand quickly across product, engineering, and design to support new partners and feature development.
Our KODE on-demand product allows certified medical coders to code from the convenience of their homes, picking the hours that they want, and getting paid as early as next day. Our platform strives to reward medical coders by offering flexibility in both how they work and how they are compensated. For healthcare providers, KODE provides a low commitment, highly scalable marketplace approach to meet variable coding demands.
Our internal engineering team is responsible for all platform development and third-party integration to serve our B2B partners (healthcare systems) and B2C end users. We currently support over 30 healthcare facilities and 5000 US based medical coders as gig workers on our platform.
You’ll be building features, fixing bugs, improving performance, and discussing product ideas.
This is a small team, working efficiently, trusting each other, building amazing products, and enjoying the adventure along the way.
Although we’re fully remote, we collaborate regularly through asynchronous tools like Slack and GitHub.
As a software engineer at KODE, you’ll join our core team of highly skilled engineers who are delivering on our vision of building a world just for (medical) coding.
We’re looking for a Rails developer who’s been doing this for several years. You enjoy writing or drawing out your thought process.
Kode is a vanilla Rails app with a Stimulus and Turbo front end with Tailwind styling. We are hosted on Heroku Shield which keeps DevOps at a minimum.
