Job Description
Job Title: Bankruptcy Associate - Preference Litigation Level: Mid to Senior-Level Associate Location: Fully Remote
Overview: A well-established bankruptcy practice is seeking an experienced associate to focus primarily on preference work . This role is ideal for an attorney who is confident working independently, requires minimal training, and has a strong background in Chapter 11 matters with significant hands-on preference litigation experience.
Key Responsibilities:

• Handle preference actions from inception through resolution
  
• Analyze avoidance claims and defenses
  
• Draft pleadings, motions, discovery, and settlement documentation
  
• Communicate directly with clients and opposing counsel
  
• Manage cases independently in a remote environment
  

Qualifications:

• Approximately 8+ years of Chapter 11 bankruptcy experience
  
• Substantial time spent specifically on preference actions
  
• Proven ability to work autonomously with minimal supervision
  
• Strong legal writing, analytical, and case management skills
  
• Prior remote work experience preferred (or demonstrated ability to work independently)
  
• Licensed and in good standing in at least one U.S. jurisdiction
