UConn Health Community Network is seeking an experienced Musculoskeletal Radiologist to join its expanding community-based radiology program. This is a fully remote opportunity providing subspecialty musculoskeletal imaging services to UConn Health community hospital partners and outpatient imaging sites.
The position offers the opportunity to work closely with UConn Health's Musculoskeletal Radiology faculty and Department of Radiology leadership while providing high-quality, clinically focused imaging interpretation across a distributed community network.
Full-time and part-time opportunities are available.
The Opportunity
Fully remote practice with a UConn Health-provided PACS workstation
Weekday and weekend daytime musculoskeletal coverage
Subspecialty interpretation of MRI, CT, ultrasound, and radiography
Broad MSK practice including orthopedic, sports medicine, trauma, spine, postoperative, arthroplasty, tumor, and infection imaging
Worklist decompression and support for community hospitals and outpatient imaging sites
Direct collaboration with UConn Health Musculoskeletal Radiology faculty and community-based clinical teams
Opportunities for consultation, protocoling, quality improvement, and teaching

Key Responsibilities
The Musculoskeletal Radiologist will:
Interpret musculoskeletal MRI and CT, including joint, bone, soft tissue, trauma, postoperative, arthroplasty, tumor, and infection studies.
Interpret spine MRI for degenerative, traumatic, postoperative, infectious, and neoplastic conditions.
Interpret musculoskeletal ultrasound and radiographs.
Provide clear, actionable reports tailored to orthopedic, sports medicine, rheumatology, emergency, and other referring clinicians.
Provide weekday and weekend daytime MSK coverage and assist with worklist management and turnaround times.
Consult with referring clinicians and technologists regarding imaging findings, protocols, and appropriate imaging utilization.
Participate in peer review, quality improvement, and standardization of MSK protocols and reporting across the network.
Serve as a subspecialty resource for community physicians, technologists, and radiology colleagues.
Qualifications
MD or DO from an accredited medical school
Completion of an ACGME-accredited Diagnostic Radiology residency
Fellowship training in Musculoskeletal Radiology
Board certification in Diagnostic Radiology by the American Board of Radiology
More than 10 years of post-fellowship clinical experience in musculoskeletal radiology
Expertise in MSK MRI, spine MRI, CT, ultrasound, and radiography
Connecticut medical license or eligibility
Eligibility for UConn community faculty appointment and appropriate medical staff privileges
Ability to work scheduled weekday and weekend daytime shifts
Ability to maintain a secure, private remote reading environment with high-speed internet connectivity that meets UConn Health requirements
Preferred Experience
Orthopedic and sports medicine imaging
Diagnostic and dynamic musculoskeletal ultrasound
Teleradiology or multi-site remote radiology practice
Community hospital or community-based radiology experience
