Contract School Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP)
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program required.
- Valid Minnesota State Speech-Language Pathologist license.
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) is preferred.
- Previous experience working in a school setting is preferred.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.

Performance Responsibilities
- Identify students with communication impairments.
- Collaborate with educational staff to assess the impact of communication impairments on student progress.
- Develop and assist in implementing instructional and curricular modifications.
- Provide communication development materials to educators and families. Participate in student IEP development and implementation.
- Manage caseload interventions, including direct and indirect services, collaboration, screenings, evaluations, and materials preparation.
- Maintain student records and performance data.
- Supervise speech/language-trained para-educators and graduate students.
- Mentor new speech/language pathologists.
- Participate in building teams, committees, and projects related to speech and language services.
- Provide in-service training to colleagues.
- Complete all required Special Education documentation, including IEPs and Medicaid billing.
