Working remotely in a full-time capacity, the Remote IP Quality Reviewer will access and review medical record documentation for coding accuracy using ICD-10 CM/PCS and CPT coding classification systems, while entering findings into proprietary quality review tracking software and responding to coder rebuttals in a timely manner. Key responsibilities Review medical records for coding and abstracting accuracy according to quality review policies Utilize facility EMR and scanning technology to conduct thorough reviews of patient records Document daily review findings and respond to coder rebuttals as per established timelines Required qualifications 5+ years of medical coding or review experience High School Diploma or equivalent (relevant experience may substitute for formal education) Active coding credentials such as RHIT, RHIA, CCS, CPC, CIC, or COC Commitment to maintain coding credentials while employed Successful completion of the coding competency exam
