Position: Mechanical Design / CAD Expert
Type: Contract
Compensation: $66 - $130/hour
Location: Remote
Commitment: 10-40 hrs/week
Role Responsibilities
- Provide detailed input on mechanical design solutions using advanced CAD tools.
- Evaluate and critique engineering drawings for accuracy and manufacturability.
- Assess and recommend design for manufacturability and tolerance analysis practices.
- Contribute insights on engineering mechanics and geometric modeling challenges.
- Review and enhance graphics and geometric modeling representations for assemblies.
- Offer guidance on best practices in manufacturing engineering and simulate design scenarios.
Requirements
- Have strong relevant experience in production design with GD&T and DFM principles.
- Proficiency with industry-standard CAD platforms like SolidWorks, CATIA, or NX.
- Strong understanding of tribology, engineering mechanics, and geometric dimensioning.
- Experience in manufacturing engineering and end-to-end product development.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills to convey technical concepts.
