To support coding compliance and quality assurance initiatives, the full-time Remote IP Facility Coder with CCS will manage coding policies, conduct audits, and provide training while working remotely from New Mexico. Key responsibilities Serve as a liaison to various departments, addressing coding, auditing, compliance, and training issues Research coding and billing compliance issues, recommending corrective action plans to ensure regulatory compliance Assist in the creation of the annual audit work-plan based on regulatory guidelines and internal risk assessments Required qualifications High school diploma/GED and at least one certification (RHIT, RHIA, CPC, CCS) with a minimum of three years of coding/auditing experience Proficient knowledge of Medicare, Medicaid, and third-party payer documentation, coding, and billing regulations Strong understanding of medical terminology, ICD-9, CPT-4, and HCPCS coding systems Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks effectively Proficient in Microsoft Office applications and capable of conducting research using various resources
