Remote Interim Accounting ManagerA growing and dynamic organization is seeking an experienced Accounting Manager to support the finance team during a critical period of growth and process enhancement. This is a fully remote contract opportunity expected to last 6-8 months, with the potential for extension based on business needs.This role is ideal for a hands-on accounting professional who thrives in fast-paced environments, enjoys improving processes, and has strong experience managing the close process within NetSuite. The Accounting Manager will oversee day-to-day accounting operations, ensure financial reporting accuracy, and partner cross-functionally to support organizational goals.ResponsibilitiesLead the monthly, quarterly, and year-end close processesReview journal entries, account reconciliations, and supporting schedulesOversee general ledger activities and ensure compliance with GAAPManage balance sheet reconciliations and resolve accounting discrepanciesSupport financial statement preparation and management reportingPartner with external auditors and assist with audit requestsImprove accounting processes, controls, and workflows to support scalabilityCollaborate with FP&A, operations, and leadership teams on ad hoc projectsProvide guidance and mentorship to accounting staff as neededAssist with system enhancements and reporting improvements within NetSuiteQualificationsBachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field5 years of progressive accounting experience, including management-level responsibilitiesStrong knowledge of GAAP and month-end close processesAdvanced experience with NetSuite ERP requiredExperience in a high-growth or rapidly evolving environment preferredStrong understanding of reconciliations, financial reporting, and internal controlsExcellent analytical, organizational, and communication skillsProficiency in Excel, including pivot tables, lookups, and financial analysisPreferred ExperienceMulti-entity and intercompany accountingAudit support and external audit coordinationProcess improvement and system optimization initiativesPublic accounting background and/or CPA designationWhy Consider This Opportunity?Fully remote work environmentOpportunity to make an immediate impact within a growing organizationHigh visibility role partnering with senior leadershipCollaborative team culture with a focus on continuous improvementCompetitive contract compensationContract Length: 6-8 monthsLocation: Remote (U.S.-based)Employment Type: Contract / W-2 preferred
