To ensure accurate coding for reimbursement and data collection, the full-time Remote Inpatient Coding Coordinator IV will manage the coding process, coordinate daily responsibilities of coding staff, and provide education on clinical documentation improvement. Key responsibilities: Conduct timely prebill reviews and audits of inpatient medical records to capture final DRG accurately Analyze clinical data to identify gaps in physician documentation and report trends for improvement Train and audit entry-level coders while communicating with healthcare providers to validate diagnoses and clinical indicators Required qualifications: RHIA, RHIT, or CCS certification or equivalent College credits in medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology Three years of coding experience in a Health Information Management Department or equivalent Experience with implementing and maintaining computer systems
