To ensure accurate coding and compliance, the full-time Remote General Surgery Coding Specialist will review, analyze, and assign CPT, HCPCS, and ICD-10 codes for professional fee services, while collaborating with internal teams to support physician coding compliance and reimbursement. Key responsibilities Assigns accurate CPT, HCPCS, and ICD-10 codes based on provider documentation Ensures compliance with governmental regulations and corporate coding protocols Performs coding audits and quality reviews, identifying areas for provider education Required qualifications H.S. Diploma or GED required Associate Degree in Health Information Management or related field preferred 2-4 years of experience in physician coding or medical billing required Experience with surgical coding or high-volume professional fee coding preferred Certified Coder-AHIMA or AAPC (CPC) required
