Job Title: Ellucian Banner Developer

Location: Remote

Key Responsibilities
  • ERP Development: Design, develop, and maintain solutions within the Ellucian Banner ERP system across modules (Student, Finance, HR, Financial Aid).
  • Integration: Build and optimize integrations with third-party applications using RESTful APIs, Web Services, and JSON/XML.
  • Reporting: Develop custom reports, data extracts, and dashboards using SQL/PLSQL, Banner data structures, and BI tools.
  • Support: Provide day-to-day troubleshooting for ERP modules, resolve system issues, and support month-end/year-end processes.
  • Collaboration: Work with stakeholders to translate business requirements into technical solutions, ensuring alignment with institutional goals.
  • Upgrades: Assist in ERP upgrades, patches, and migrations, including testing and documentation.
  • Security: Implement best practices for data security and compliance with institutional policies.
Required Qualifications
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Experience: 5+ years of experience with Ellucian Banner ERP development.
  • Proficiency in SQL, PL/SQL, Oracle databases, and Linux shell scripting.
  • Hands-on experience with Banner modules (Finance, HR, Student) and data schemas.
  • Technical Skills: RESTful APIs, Web Services, and JSON/XML integration.
  • Version control systems (e.g., Git/GitHub) and CI/CD pipelines.
  • Data analysis, cleansing, and transformation for reporting.
  • Soft Skills: Strong problem-solving, communication, and collaboration abilities.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Certifications: Ellucian Banner technical certifications.
  • Tools: Experience with Jenkins, Tomcat, or Oracle 19c.
  • Sector Experience: Higher education or public sector ERP implementations.
  • Cloud: Familiarity with Azure/AWS cloud integration.
