Supporting a remote coding team, the full-time Coding Team Lead will mentor coders, handle escalated cases, and ensure accurate medical coding while collaborating with clinicians and other departments. Key responsibilities Serves as the primary source for coder inquiries and provides feedback on escalated cases Abstracts and codes surgical procedures, ensuring compliance with CPT, ASA, and ICD-10 guidelines Analyzes data, generates reports for management, and assists in the development of coding playbooks and SOPs Required qualifications High school diploma or equivalent required Medical records experience required Proficient in CPT, ASA, and ICD-10 coding Ability to work independently and self-motivate on new projects Knowledge of coding requirements for anesthesia providers and related documentation
