Responsible for the timely and accurate coding for reimbursement and data collection purposes, the full-time Remote Coding Coordinator will coordinate daily coding functions, train staff on coding guidelines, and serve as a subject matter expert across departments. Key responsibilities Coordinate daily coding and support functions within Health Information Management Services Develop coding policies and procedures in accordance with industry guidelines and regulations Analyze and report trends to identify improvement opportunities in coding performance Required qualifications RHIA, RHIT, or CCS certification or equivalent certification/degree College credits in medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology Three years of coding experience in a Health Information Management Department or equivalent Experience with implementing and maintaining computer systems
