Remote Class Action Employment Attorney

Class Action AttorneyA growing mid-sized plaintiffs' firm is seeking an experienced, detail-oriented, and driven Class Action Attorney to join its employment litigation team. This role focuses primarily on class action and PAGA wage and hour matters, with some exposure to related claims such as discrimination, wrongful termination, retaliation, and harassment. The position offers meaningful autonomy in managing daily responsibilities while operating within a collaborative team environment alongside senior attorneys to drive strong outcomes for clients.Responsibilities:Manage a substantial caseload of class action and PAGA wage and hour litigation mattersPrepare and review pleadings, motions, written discovery, and class certification filingsPerform in-depth legal research and draft high-level written advocacy, including dispositive and non-dispositive motionsWork closely with senior attorneys and team members to develop and implement case strategyTake and defend depositions of parties, witnesses, and corporate representativesPrepare for and attend mediations, settlement discussions, hearings, and court appearancesReview and analyze employment-related documents such as payroll records, timekeeping data, and company policies relevant to claimsMaintain communication with clients, class representatives, witnesses, opposing counsel, experts, and the court throughout litigationOversee and delegate tasks to litigation support staff to ensure cases move forward efficientlyHandle related employment litigation matters including discrimination, retaliation, wrongful termination, and harassment when neededEnsure adherence to procedural requirements, court rules, and all litigation deadlinesMaintain organized files and accurate documentation for all assigned mattersQualifications:Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law schoolActive and in good standing with the California State BarAt least 2 years of experience handling class action litigation, ideally within employment lawBenefits: Medical, dental, and vision coverage, plus 401(k)Additional Requirements:Must pass a background checkMust be authorized to work in the United States
